About Me

Although I am a military brat who was born in Germany, I spent most of my life in Texas where I attended grade school and college. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration (Marketing). I have absolutely NO REGRETS about giving up my "fast track" corporate America career to be a wife & raise/homeschool my two awesome kids, Nat (age 13), & Nia (age 8). Honestly, it was the best decision ever…..right behind giving my life to Christ & marrying my amazing husband, Kevin! My family is certainly worth the sacrifice!

As far as planning is concerned, I am a "Binder Girl" all the way! I purchased my very first “classic" size planner with the super "COLORFUL" Flavia inserts from a Franklin Covey store in Houston, Texas after graduating from college. I used it not only to schedule my sales appointments in my corporate career by day, but also used it to help me stay organized as an aspiring entrepreneur in the evening & on weekends. I quickly learned that I am "present in the moment" and much more productive when I intentionally take the time to focus & simply write things down. Daily activities which I used to consider pointless & mundane are now daily treasures that I cannot wait to experience. These moments would easily be forgotten if I don't take the time to write them down. Over the years, my planners/art journals have become a written legacy of the "BLESSINGS" in my life.

Art has recently become a passion of mine, especially "graffiti art".  It fascinates me that a street artist can get people to stop and stare, even in the darkest of cities; with a vision, "COLORFUL" spray paint, and a brick wall as a canvas. Why? Because we are all attracted to COLOR! This same theory is true for me when I make time to plan & document my life. I am more motivated to stay on track & write things down when the "COLOR" on my planner pages & in my pocket scrapbooking album are simply "irresistible". For this reason, I INTENTIONALLY go for freedom, functionality, & most importantly, FUN when documenting my life.

If I could share one "KEY take-away" that I have learned over the years in my memory keeping journey, it would be this: There is no "right" or "wrong" way to plan/document your life. Everyone is different! Take some time to experiment with different design styles & techniques until you discover your own personal comfort zone. Doing "YOU" will always bring you the most "JOY"!

Many blessings to you,
