Documented Life Project ~ May 2016 (Week #1) PAC featuring the "JOT IT DOWN" Mixed Media Stamp Set by Rae Missigman!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day Everybody!

I am thrilled to share the release of Rae Missigman's brand new stamp set entitled, "JOT IT DOWN".

This super versatile mix of doodles & shapes is perfect for creating artsy backgrounds & journaling spots in your DLP "unPlanner".

Today, I thought I would share my "Step Out" process for my May 2016 (Week #1: Add your name in a creative way) PAC using the "JOT IT DOWN" mixed media stamp set by Rae Missigman.

My Color Inspiration: Cherry limeade is my absolute FAVORITE beverage to drink in the spring time. The sweet taste of ripe cherries coupled with the tart bite of fresh limes is so very delicious on a sunny day. I found this image below of a cherry limeade flavored CUPCAKE. SERIOUSLY.....how can you go wrong with cherry limeade AND a cupcake??? Oh, man! YUMMO! :D

My "STEP OUT" Process!

Created a mixed media background to make a collage element for my PAC. Blended yellow & green acrylic paint with my brayer on my gelli plate.

Pressed the scalloped stamps from the "JOT IT DOWN" mixed media stamp set into the acrylic paint & randomly stamped the images on black patterned cardstock. IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to clean your clear stamps immediately with baby wipes when using acrylic paint!

Blended pink, fluorescent pink & maroon with my brayer on my gelli plate. YUMMO!

Pressed the doodled lines stamp from the "JOT IT DOWN" mixed media stamp set into the acrylic paint & randomly stamped the images on black patterned cardstock. Randomly stamped dots on the background using red archival. I tore a piece of the ruffled right edge for my PAC. I will save the rest of the yummy background for other "unPlanner" layouts.

Grabbed this 'grid' Kelly Purkey journal card from my stash. Added yellow & green Tim Holtz Distress Ink to my gelli plate and picked up the color with my journal card.

Added an 'inky' return label.

Collaged a "couture" Smashbook image with Uhu glue.

Collaged a piece of my painted background & a heart from scrapbooking paper. Added black doodle stitching. Added arrows, dots & scallops from the "JOT IT DOWN" mixed media stamp set.

Added dots from Rae's mixed media stamp set using white Brilliance ink.

Added my name (kept it simple) using a black Uni-ball Signo broad pen.

Created a pocket for my PAC using a page protector. Added sequins & denim. Secured the pocket with black stitching.

Here is another PAC I created this past Tuesday using this incredible stamp set.

I created two other PAC's & my May monthly divider for my DLP "unPlanner" using Rae's "JOT IT DOWN" mixed media stamp set. Check out the full images of those PAC's & my May divider on Rae's website HERE.

As always, thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out more "JOT IT DOWN" inspiration by Rae Missigman.
